What is the difference between the EC4330 and the S Controller?
The EC4330 is the touch screen, 4-channel model, with advanced functions such as simulated sunrise/sunset and PPFD and temperature control, but it is only compatible with the S-Line Foldable ECO HL DUAL 780W. The S Controller manages intensity, sunrise/sunset and timer via cable across the entire S-Line PRO series, but does not work with the new S-Line HL Bar Light.
Is the control unit compatible with all ORTOLED lamps?
No. Each control unit covers a specific scope: the EC4330 only manages the S-Line Foldable ECO HL DUAL 780W, the S Controller manages the entire S-Line PRO series (not the new S-Line HL Bar Light). Always check compatibility with the lamp model you own before purchasing.
Can I connect multiple lamps to the same channel?
Yes, on the EC4330 each channel can manage multiple lamps at the same time, up to a maximum of 30 lamps across 4 channels. All lamps connected to the same channel share the same intensity and cycle settings.
How does the sunrise and sunset simulation work?
The control unit gradually increases the lamp’s intensity at the start of the photoperiod and reduces it at the end, instead of switching abruptly from 0 to 100%. This reduces plant stress and improves physiological growth rhythms.
